COTTAGE GROVE - "I was blessed with the opportunity to grow up around construction sites and homebuilding,* Tyson Kidder states, the owner of Tyson Kidder Construction. He comes by the interest in construction honestly with it being in the family. "My father was a developer when I was growing up and still is in thearea, and my grandfather built custom homes in the Eugene area for 40+years." While his dad developed land, I developed a sensible work ethic, along with a love for creating a tangible and lasting product.
Kidder I worked full time through college, developing skills in many areas of construction and manufacturing.He also worked as a crew leader for a local construction company for several years, for a bridge building company and a rock crusher manufacturer.
Tyson developed additional leadership skills managing site security operations and 44 employees at Hynix semiconductor in Eugene, adding, "All of these experiences were valuable to me as I continued to plow my way through school.
How many in construction have "Graduated pre-med from the U of O?" Kidder accomplished this with the initial aim of heading to medical school. As time went on this goal became less appealing and less practical, especially being newly married and on salary; added to that was the prospect (and burden) of ten additional years of school. "So after graduating, I tried his hand in financial services, then made my way into pharmaceuticals, sold a wide variety of medicines and vaccines for the last three and a half years exiting as a top 5 ranked performer nationally and managing to build one home and remodel another along the way," Kidder adds.
"So finally, after becoming somewhat financially stable and yearning to get back to doing what I really enjoy, the journey has come full circle," Kidder states with confidence.
Tyson Kidder and his wife Emily started Tyson Kidder Construction Company, building both speculative and custom homes. Kidder emphasizes, "We follow a variation of the design-build processes when working with clients.By doing a series of consultations with the potential client to tailor a home to fit their needs as closely as possible, both economically and design, we feel this provides the highest quality home for the price."
"We are focused on conducting our business with dependability, integrity and quality.
