CRESWELL - “We can supply your building needs from dirt to door knob,” Cascade Home Center Manager David Christopher says, quoting a wise man.
Cascade Hardware has had a long history in Creswell, since 1999 when Cascade Home Center purchased the business located at 60 W Oregon from Bob & Carol Gemmell, former Creswell residents.
Creswell, the town itself hasthrough its growth, beeninstrumental in the continuedexpansion of Cascade Hardware as they have grown along with the town. So, with the new growth and expansion in Creswell, it became apparent that the size and scope of the business could not serve the needs of the community. In 2004 Cascade purchased the old Authentic Models site and began a complete restoration project.
On March 1st, 2005, Cascade Home Center opened its doors at the new location at 104 S Mill Street. “Creswell is a progressive and growing community and in order to provide customers with an option other than Eugene for their shopping needs, the expansion was absolutely necessary,” says owner George Devine.
In addition to expanding the existing lines, an entire Home Décor Department was added which includes kitchen and bath cabinetry, countertops, several cascadegrand0214061types of flooring, carpeting and more.
The paint department was expanded to include two complete lines of paint products and supplies. "I like the small town feel and nice people who patron the store," says Robert Penner who you will find in the paint department and employee since August '04.
Another new feature isa drive-thru lumber yard was created and a complete line of molding and building supplies was added while also being able to purchase doors, windows and most other building supplies
"The Rental Department is continually being built to meet the needs of the Creswell community," Manager David Christopher states confidently.
“We try to maintain the small town spirit, support the schools and Community organizations. We also have local knowledgeable people working at Cascade Home Center with a wide variety of backgrounds and expertise, Christopher states. Interior Designer, paint factory worker, and contractor sales people with many years of experience in the building and remodeling trades,”help make the difference while keeping it local, ” Christopher adds.
